Favorite Headlines

Here are some of my best headlines over the course of my career.

As part of the award-winning HCP campaign, Her Heart Matters, this provocative headline brought crucial attention to the heart-health risks facing African American women.

I was pleasantly surprised when our Great Indoors client loved this nod to the infamous Playboy questionnaire.

In this playful homage to sci-fi posters of yesteryear (a la, “It Came From Outer Space”), we used a frame from our platelet education video with the sensational headline, “It Came from Plaque Rupture!” We also used the medical terms, “Adhesion! Activation! Aggregation!” in place of the familiar interrupters, "Thrills! Suspense! Horror!” The result was a print piece that really stood out among other convention materials and sent HCPs running for the aisles to find the Sakyo-Lilly booth.

My first advertising gig was to write a holiday catalog for Godiva chocolate. My boss challenged me that if I couldn’t make chocolate sexy, I was in the wrong business. Lucky for me, he loved the simplicity and seductiveness of my first headline. I got the job.

This Great Indoors mailer proves that I am not above the occasional pun.
